"Do you take my insurance?"

Here's Why That Doesn’t Matter.

This is one of the most common questions I get when people call or email about Vital Motion Physical Therapy. And while I completely understand the question, I always take the time to explain why it’s actually a great thing that I don’t take insurance—and why it may be the best decision for your health and recovery.

So, why doesn’t Vital Motion take insurance? It’s simple: Insurance-based physical therapy isn’t always in the patient’s best interest. Here’s why.

The Traditional PT Model: Limited by Insurance

In many traditional PT clinics, the focus is often on addressing just one body part or region. You come in with knee pain, and you might only work on your knee, ignoring the rest of your body and how it’s contributing to the issue. The treatments are often short, impersonal, and not holistic, leaving other factors like nutrition, sleep, stress, or posture untouched.

Additionally, insurance companies have strict rules on how much care you can receive, how long your sessions can last, and even the goals you can set. This system is designed to minimize costs for the insurer, not necessarily to focus on your unique needs as a person. You might get discharged as soon as you’re "out of pain," but does that mean you’re fully ready to return to the activities you love? Often, the answer is no.

This leads to more frequent injuries and setbacks, as patients aren’t given the tools they need to thrive long-term.

Vital Motion’s Cash-Based Approach: Full Focus on You

At Vital Motion, my approach is built around you, the person, not the insurance system. Here's what makes it different:

A Holistic, Whole-Body Approach

Rather than just targeting one specific pain point or body part, we look at how your entire body works together. It’s about finding the root cause of the issue and creating a tailored plan that addresses your whole being—not just your symptoms. From body movement patterns to nutrition, sleep, stress levels, and even breathing techniques, we take all these factors into account to optimize your overall health and performance.

Client-Focused Goals

Every single person who comes to see me has unique needs and goals. And that’s exactly how I treat you. We don’t follow a one-size-fits-all formula here. You’ll set goals based on what YOU want to achieve, whether it’s returning to your sport, preventing injuries, or simply feeling better in your daily activities. No external pressure to meet quotas for insurance companies. Just your goals, your timeline, your path.

Unlimited Care for as Long as You Need

In traditional clinics, patients are often discharged once they’ve "improved" enough for insurance purposes—usually meaning they’re out of pain but might not be fully recovered. In contrast, at Vital Motion, we continue programming for as long as you need, whether that’s a few weeks or several months. There’s no limit on how many visits you can have, and no ticking clock to rush your recovery.

Why Cash-Based PT is Better for You

By opting out of the insurance system, we can offer more personalized care, longer sessions, and the ability to truly address your unique needs. You’ll also find that the cost is often the same or even less than what you’d pay for a PT visit through insurance once you factor in deductibles, co-pays, and surprise out-of-pocket costs. Plus, you’ll get better, faster results because we don’t have to rush your treatment or limit your progress based on insurance policies.

It’s about putting YOU first—not the insurance company. You’re not just a number here.

Making the Right Choice for Your Health

If you’re tired of feeling like just another patient on a conveyor belt, let’s talk. Choosing a cash-based model means you’re choosing long-term health, better care, and a recovery plan that’s all about YOU.

You deserve to feel your best, and I’m here to make that happen—without the limitations of insurance.
